PRISMA, An Urban Oasis In The Heart Of Crystal Harbour

Luxury real estate development in the Cayman Islands has seen tremendous gains in the past ten years, with dozens of new projects hitting the market. Although each has its unique sales proposition, beachfront, canal front, or family-focused, all have a modern Caribbean design, a suite of owner amenities, and the latest in fine finishes and fixtures.

After their immense success with the development of FIN Grand Cayman, developers Mike Ryan and Dale Crighton set out to change the luxury development landscape once again. For FIN, they wanted a unique design, opulent finishes, and world-class amenities, all within an oceanfront setting. They pushed the envelope, integrating the first glass-bottom cantilevered pool, the first man-made saltwater lagoon, and the first building in the Cayman Islands to offer private elevator access to each unit, the first to provide boutique hotel-level services to private residential owners, all wrapped in an iconic art deco shell. The result is an iconic property, setting a new standard for luxury living in the Caribbean.

Bringing PRISMA to life

Now that FIN is completed, the duo has turned their attention to bringing their newest brainchild, PRISMA, to life at the heart of the Seven Mile Beach corridor. Once again, they have conceived a new approach to luxury real estate development with the creation of the island’s very first Urban Oasis positioned in the heart of the upscale gated community of Crystal Harbour.

PRISMA’s design will be one for the books, a glazing phenomenon designed to capture the many spectacular views of the North Sound to the east, Seven Mile Beach to the west, rolling greens of the North Sound Golf Club to the south, and the meandering canals of Crystal Harbour to the north.

To fulfill its objective of being a true community, the project will encompass four products offering four distinct lifestyles, all wrapped around a marine basin surrounded by a gourmet market, cafes, fitness studio, signature restaurant, and a beautiful waterside promenade for residents and neighbors to enjoy.

The five towers, referred to as Skyline Lofts, will vary in height from seven to nine stories and will have just two single-level condos pre-floor with private elevator access and glass on three sides. All are capped by two-story penthouses with 360-degree views. Unlike other developments on the island that embrace versions of a coastal design, PRISMA will embody an urban aesthetic, blending elements of contemporary, modern, and industrial designs to create a unique style that's perfect for modern-day island living. Imagine refined industrial interiors, high ceilings, and full-height glazing to let the beautiful Caribbean scenes drench each space.

Amongst the towers, lushly landscaped gardens, green curtain walls, and waterfront walkways will invite residents, guests, and neighbors alike to stroll, dine, play, and enjoy the peaceful retreat just steps from the ocean.

The Soho Terraces, twenty canal front townhomes, will feature private pools, individual dock space, and a twist on the same unique glazing and urban design as the Skyline Lofts. The ideal family home is spread over three levels and has a private oversized rooftop space overlooking the canal and golf course.

Creating a community in Crystal Harbour

Committed to always creating something that pushes the island forward - as he did with the development of the Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman and FIN Grand Cayman - Mike Ryan is never one to follow trends or to recycle the same development over, and over again. Instead, PRISMA is designed to elevate the community of Crystal Harbour and give a heart, a place for the neighborhood and the island community to gather and enjoy the many amenities, walkways, and secret gardens. It is a true urban oasis with tall buildings dripping in greenery, and reflective materials bouncing the light sky and waterways off its surface, creating a prismatic experience unlike any other experienced in a Caribbean setting.

Carefully tucked away on the northern canal are the Blackstone Duplexes, immense boat homes with interior elevators, rooftop plunge pools, and three levels of luxury living. These unique residences offer a private garage and private internal dock located below the cantilevered living area above. PRISMA’s custom glazing enhances large open spaces, and the private outdoor terraces look over the canal and secluded cul-de-sac canal.

The fourth and final product on offer at PRISMA is described by Mike Ryan as “the ultimate in luxury canal-front living, in terms of design and overall offering within the borders of a luxury community rich in amenities and services.” The five private lots, located at the very tip of the property, will be ready to be developed by the renowned developers in the last phase of the project. Purchasers will have the opportunity to customize their home within the PRISMA design framework, working closely with the development team to deliver a unique and personalized villa. Luxury is personal, and these exceptional homes will reflect the owner’s unique sensibilities.

PRISMA will not only be a luxury residential community but also a place for the people and visitors of the Cayman Islands to explore. Whether they come by car, bike, or boat, all can expect a safe and lively environment with fine dining, health, wellness, and sustainability at its core.
